Churches play an integral role in our services. Soundview does not require a client to be religious to receive services, however our compassionate, evangelistic approach allows women and men hear and receive the Gospel during their visits. (In fact, nearly 1/3 of our clients who heard the Gospel in 2023, made the decision to dedicate or rededicate their hearts to the Lord.)

Often, church communities are weary to discuss the topic of abortion. Many pastors feel that they’ll alienate their parishioners or congregants by talking about it.

But what happens when a woman in your church community faces an unplanned pregnancy? What occurs when a family has experienced the pain of abortion and needs healing? How can we draw them closer to Christ and show them they are loved?

You can create strong connections between your church and Soundview that build our “safety net” and support for those in need. Answering this call takes courage, but it is well worth the effort.

How You Make a Difference

Forging a relationship between your church and Soundview helps us reach women before an abortion provider does. With your support, we can show families they aren’t alone and have people in their corner.

• Invite church members to tour one of our locations and see firsthand the work we do
• Have a staff member from Soundview Pregnancy Services speak to your congregation/church community
• Organize fundraising events (i.e., a Baby Bottle Drive) to help us further our mission
• Schedule an educational workshop for your youth groups or young adults.
• Host a trauma-informed care trainings to equip your fellow church members and staff to provide non-judgmental emotional and practical support to those with unplanned pregnancies

Women can feel uncertain and nervous about contacting their church community in these situations. They may worry about experiencing shame and judgment.
