When a pregnant mother visits Soundview Pregnancy Services, she is often scared, lonely, or confused. Her unplanned pregnancy can feel like the biggest challenge in her life, and an abortion may seem like the obvious next step.
At Soundview, she is seen, heard, and valued. No matter her circumstances, we’ll be by her side, advocating for her and her child’s life.
Our locations offer services through onsite medical professionals and staff social workers. Your financial gifts directly fund these services so our clients can always access at no-cost.
Pregnancy Testing
Home pregnancy tests are generally reliable, but they can be inaccurate if a woman takes one incorrectly. At Soundview Pregnancy Services, she can receive clear results with medical-grade pregnancy testing.
Ultrasounds
When a woman receives a positive pregnancy test at one of our locations, we discuss her eligibility for an ultrasound during a medical consultation. This scan medically confirms her pregnancy and alerts her to certain health conditions that require treatment.
Options Information
By providing options information in a non-judgmental environment, we reach more women and empower them to make life-saving decisions. Our staff educates clients on parenting and adoption. We also discuss the risks and side effects of abortion procedures so women can make informed decisions.
We never provide or refer for abortions. We want women to know they’ll receive continuous support when they continue their pregnancies.
Social Work Consultations
A unique service we offer is social work consultations. Our staff social workers help clients develop a plan to navigate challenging situations like sharing the news of their pregnancy with a partner or their parents, finding emergency housing, or leaving an abusive relationship. Whether connecting clients to community resources or onsite education and support, our team is equipped to walk women through.
Abortion Pill Reversal (APR)
Sometimes, women take the first pill in a medical abortion regimen (mifepristone) and deeply regret their decision. The abortion pill reversal process uses progesterone to try to counteract the effects of this drug and help women continue their pregnancies. This service is offered by our onsite, independent medical professionals to women throughout NYS.
After-Abortion Care
The pain and regret stemming from an abortion can be a tremendous burden to bear. Those suffering from an abortion don’t deserve condemnation or shame; they need healing.
Our social workers and trained advocates provide reproductive loss grief support. Individual and group support is available, as well as support for men.
Virtual Visits
In a world where Alexa can answer questions instantly and purchases can be made online in a matter of minutes (Including purchasing the abortion pill), Generations Z and Millennials are seeking connection quickly. Clients can now access same day services and support from the comfort of their own homes via chat or by requesting a virtual visit.
